Cornerstone of Grace Program Coordinator Job Description
Purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide oversight to each family at Cornerstone of Grace. The Program Coordinator will be responsible to see that each participant’s requirements are met and coordinate services for them.
Background
Cornerstone of Grace is a faith based non profit located in Watertown, Wisconsin. We provide a safe residential environment for women, equipping them to face life's challenges. Cornerstone of Grace is looking for a compassionate, flexible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for helping families in crisis find stability.
Work to be accomplished
- Provide at least weekly goal setting meetings with each woman
- Oversee progress with our curriculum and Bible study for each woman
- Residents and Coordinator will work together as a team to identify personal barriers and develop an individualized plan. This plan will address current barriers, strategies, and techniques that residents can use in a time of crisis.
- Ensure that woman is enrolled in required supports such as counseling, budgeting, and parenting classes
- The Coordinator will serve as a resource for the residents when needed.
- The Coordinator will supervise two part time program staff and in some cases, volunteers.
- Updating Director/Programming Committee of residents general progress
Key working relationships
The Program Coordinator will collaborate internally with the part time employees (Evening House Manager/and Program Staff). She will be supported by the Founder and the Board of Directors. The Coordinator will attempt to be transparent about their own needs, the needs of the women served, and the needs of the organization maintaining the utmost confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree of an Associate degree in a related field
- Must be professional with strong boundaries and a strong Christian faith
- Must be able to work independently, but also with a team
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including some weekends, evenings, and on call hours
- Possess good communication skills to empower and support staff and residents
- The ability to work with diverse populations
- Must be highly organized and have the ability to multitask
Professional and Personal Skills
- A strong and growing knowledge of the Bible and how it relates to daily life
- Self-motivated
- Coachable, life-long learner
- Ability to communicate their faith and love for Christ
- Personable and outgoing with an ability to relate well to people and recruit them to support and volunteer
- Able to establish boundaries when necessary and speak the hard truths when needed
Hours/Pay
- The Program Coordinator will work 20-23 hours each week with flexible hours (evening, weekend, daytime based on resident’s availability)
- Pay will be $14.00 an hour
