"Four on the Floor" Dog Workshop

Event Time Saturday, October 19, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Is your dog gravity-challenged?  Dogs jump on people to get attention and as a form of greeting.  Although they may mean well, dogs can knock over small children, tear clothing, and rip skin in their enthusiasm.  Many commonly-used techniques being used to discourage a dog from jumping up often make the problem worse, hurt the dog, or put a person in danger.  Join the ever-popular Behavior Specialist Mittsy Voiles of the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic to learn the RIGHT way to teach your dog to keep all four on the floor.  It will be the best 30 minutes you spend training your dog!  NO BONES ABOUT IT . . . dogs must be "people friendly," "dog friendly," current on all vaccinations, and leashed with a 4' - 6' non-retractable leash.  Owners are responsible for picking up doggy doo!  This free workshop, which is co-sponsored by the Humane Society of Jefferson County and the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic, will be held "rain or shine" at Tractor Supply Company in Watertown from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Attendees and their canine companions may arrive at anytime within that time period and should allow 30 minutes to complete their session.
